That's 'coz this based off Pokemon Adventures/Pokemon Special.

Red has Pika (and Bulbasaur)
Green (English name Blue) has Eevee (and Charmander)
Soul (hasn't appeared yet but in the GSC arc, her character was Crystal) has Chikorita
Gold has Cyndaquil
