Roxas's life has thus far consisted of working, and being lied to. The only time he ever felt happy was when he was eating ice cream with Axel and Xion, which was their symbolism and daily ritual of friendship. Roxas couldnt trust Axel anymore, so Xion is the only person he had left. No longer allowed to Co-exist, he was just forced to fight her.

Y'all put too much into this, you know that? They're nobodies for te most part. The feelings that they DO have, they don't know how to articulate well, so that's the best he could do. And don't get I. Me about "Xion's not a nobody." you get the idea.
