I'm getting pretty sick of gif color indexing. Do you guys know any alternatives to gif?

The only alternative is SWF, but I don't know if Gelbooru accepts those. Anyways GIF can look fine if you're not a lazy ass when it comes time to export the animation to a GIF and actually spend some time making a palette that suits the image, rather than using the standard 'web safe' palette.

You could try PNG animation. It's bigger than gif, but allows complete integrity and no degradation. The only problem is that only a few browsers support it at the moment. I think Opera and Firefox, maybe Chrome.
