Anon1, there is a line that mangaka cannot cross if they don't want to end up making a hentai series. Forget Elfen Lied, To Love-Ru is considered borderline hentai. Nipples are one thing, however the penis or vagina being shown is most definitely hentai-related. If it's a hentai manga, there will likely be a lot controversy involving the content which is more than a headache for the Mangaka. Less people will read the manga, and less people will buy the volumes. The same goes for anime. If there is hentai related content, there will be fewer viewers and less people would buy the DVDs. Also, you wouldn't be able to watch the episodes on YouTube because hentai isn't allowed there.
