Looks like he's giving her permanent horse shoes too. He's got the metal pieces melted into the bottoms of her feet, and if you look at the top you can see it's actually bolted on with 2 bolts (or are those rivets?) going through each foot.
Same with her hands. On top of that he cut off all of her toes and fingers, not to mention the branding. Ouch.

Just realized, he's making her into a reindeer!

What really annoys me about this is how unpractical it would be.
A horse-shoe on the flat hand... I mean I don't really like guro, but even then you gotta admit it would make more sense to cut off the hand entirely at this rate
