I think these are chipmunk girls. There colouring and tails appear to be like those on chipmunks. This guy is a great artist, he really has a grasp of the female form furry or not.

Chipmunks don't really hang out in trees. At least not here in New England. Mostly on the ground and in holes. Though we do have brown, grey, and black squirrels here.
