I wouldn't be all that concerned, as the glass could actually be Polyacrylic.
You know? The type of 'glass' they have at some banks that's bullet proof? You could ram her with the full force of your 'body' squishing her against it and the structure holding it in place might give way way before there is enough force for it to break/shatter/crack, even after it falls over with you falling on top of her and continuing your actions moreover.
The thicker the better either way.
Yeah, it's THAT strong/durable, and so is my thinking. . .
Yes, it isn't as easy as one might think to draw feet or hands; although some artists make it look easy. This is probably the primary reason why characters are only depicted from the waist on up, or the feet are always covered by ware or behind/inside/under something. Sometimes the image cropps out just before the feet come into view as to reinforce this indication I mentioned.
It may be coincidence, but those artists that draw feet exceptionally well or better are exceptional artists themselves, considering the difficulty involved in the details & quality of their works. When the feet are drawn well, everything else about the image just seems to fallow suit, there may be exceptions to this though, I've seen some before.
The other factor could be, laziness of the artists, because drawing extremities requires a lot of attention to detail.
