What I find odd is that in some art Aisha isn't wearing pants, only that crotch piece, like in the intro. Mabey a mistake during the edit process?

She could have just decided not to wear her leggings that day. Or maybe they changed the design after they made the intro. You'll notice that the first episode starts out with the whole crew already on the Outlaw Star then flashes back to before, but the little eyepiece Gene wears when grappling is completely different than it is later.
