If I were in that guy's position, I would have that pillow in a bag. Or at least turn the pillowcase inside-out as to (attempt to) avoid weird looks from other people.

Unless if the picture is printed onto the pillow itself for some odd reason like that Nia fanart seems to be in this photo. Honestly. I would understand something like a floral patern. And maybe some official art of a certain series in some cases. (In the latter case, the bed merchandise is more commonly targeted towards children.) But fanart on a pillow like that? Definitely hiding something like what's shown in the picture until I'm home. One way or another.
