For those who are interested, Stop! Stop! Hibari-kun is a series from the 1980s about a trans girl. She is, explicitly, per the anime, manga, and mangaka a girl. She openly and actively identifies as such. It's actually a really good work that respects what trans people go through from their friends and family while also not making Hibari out to be a victim. She's constantly described by the transphobes in her life as "the perfect man if only she weren't a woman" (paraphrased) while also being described by those around her who don't know she's trans as being (again, paraphrasing,) effectively "the perfect woman." But like, she's not a Mary Sue either. She has her strengths and her weaknesses. Genuinely a great show if anyone wants to check it out.
