It's sort of hard to explain, but, The thing she's doing on the stage is actually kind of a weird form of traditional Japanese comical performance only not usually done by women. Basically a man would paint an incredibly goofy face on his stomache and chest and do a very animated dance while covering his head with his shirt, usually accompanied by heavy drinking and ridiculous songs.
