Uh, why focus on how big the cup is when there's more than just the 'illogical' sizes of the bottle and cup when there's clearly more to the picture than that?
That aside, maybe he wants less than a full bottle of milk. Maybe to try it before actually getting some.

I love how Dark Link seems to not care, even though he's suddenly bleeding out of his face. Shows how badass he is, he gets hit in the head with a hammer, bleeds, and still continues to pour that milk as if nothing is happening.
