Actually #321989 and #328144, you forget just who Kushina is. Minato wouldn't have to, because seriously Kushina could fuck you up all on her own. Pregnant or not, she's still a Konoha kunoichi, and the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki at the time. Don't forget what happened to the other people that pissed her off. She earned that Habanero nickname for a reason.

For one thing, the Kyuubi was extracted from her, which is usually enough to kill a jinchuuriki. Granted, she was badass enough to not die immediately despite having just given birth prior to the extraction. But even if she could've survived that, both her and her husband sacrificed their souls to reseal the Kyuubi using their newborn son as the new container.
