Wrong. She can keep the temperature of things constant.
Meaning she would have to warm it up beforehand and THEN use her ability.

How about the thing just continuously gets warmer and warmer as friction continues to heat it up and her power is preventing any heat from dissipating.

Geeze in what scenero would make you relize that you have the ability to keep things a constant temperature. Ahh who knows maybe she ran outside naked in winter and had a epiphany relizing why so wasn't cold.
