見知らぬ世界へとやってきたアデリナはパイオニアに保護され、職員に説明を受けた。
アデリナ：つまり、みんなこの世界に捉えられ、その上脱出ができなくて困っている、とそういうことなのね。
パイオニア職員：はい。簡単に言えばそうです。
アデリナ：なるほど・・・・・・。査はどれくらい進んでいるの？
パイオニア職員：それが・・・・・・。長い人はもうずいぶん経つのですが手がかりはさつぱり。
アデリナ：そう・・・・・・。それは・・・・・・ちょっと厄介ね。
職員の言葉にアデリナはため息をつく。人が調べて原因がわからないとなるとこの世界の神に原因があるに違いない。
だとしたら、この現象を解決できるのは自分しかいないのではないか。これでも元の世界では竜神だったのだ。
アデリナ：（神が相手となると・・・・・・必要なのは信仰者ね。一人で他の神と戦うなんて無謀だわ）
元の世界で姉妹たちと戦いを繰り返していたアデリナは、トントンと、『神殺し』までの手順を組み立てて行く。
アデリナ：（とにかく信奉者。信奉者の心が私の力になる。そのためには、まず私の教えを広げる司祭とーー）
パイオニア職員：あの・・・・・・。アデリナさん？
脱出までの最適解が、頭の中で完成しようとしたその時に、職員の言葉で思考が停止される。
アデリナ：え？あら、ごめんなさい。何の話だったかしら？
パイオニア職員：その・・・・・・。大変申し上げにくいのですが、この世界で暮らしていくに当たって、アデリナさんにも仕事をして頂きたくて。
アデリナ：ああ、なるほど。働かざるもの食うべからずというのね。でも、私には衣食住は必要な一一
必要ないと言いかけたところでふつ、と思い当たる。
アデリナ：ちなみに、今はどんなお仕事が多いの？ ここでは仕事の斡旋もしてるんでしょ？
仕事がある、ということは需要があるということだ。その需要を自分が満たせば、信者が増えるに違いない。
パイオニア職員：そうですね・・・・・・。いつでも募集されている職業は冒険者さんです。
パイオニア職員：この世界ではモンスターが人々の驚異になっていてそのモンスターたちを倒したり一一
アデリナ：そう。じゃあ。それでいいわ。いつから働けばいいの？
パイオニア職員：よろしいのですか？お望みならもう少し安全な仕事も一一
アデリナ：大丈夫。その仕事でいいわ。戦いには慣れているの。
アデリナ：ああ。でも、退治するのはモンスターだけ？具体的に言えば、私は人は殺さないわ。捕縛はしても、人を殺す仕事は受けないわ。
パイオニア職員：あ・・・・・・。それは。受けるお仕事は自分で決められますので。
アデリナは内心ホッと胸を撫で下ろす。これこそがアデリナの美徳であり弱点だった。
どんな犯罪者でも人の命を奪うべきではない、と、アデリナは思う。だからこそ、姉さまたちと対立してしまったのだけど。
アデリナ：（まあ、良さそうな仕事ね。危なくなった者を何度か助ければ私を信じざるを得ないでしよう）
自分のカであれば、少しばかり演出を派手にして奇跡と思わせることだうて可能である。
