You know, if artists put their sites on easily indexed sites, technology like SauceNao allows instant identification of the artist and location of their profiles so that they wouldn’t have any need for a ridiculous number of watermarks since impersonation would fall apart in seconds. I’m not even sure how SauceNao indexes Pixiv posts from years before it was made, but it does that. You post to Pixiv, it’s digitally watermarked forever in a way anyone can check without impacting the art.
