...You should've been able to battle Red & Blue in the games! I would've given up Lance & Clair for shot at a 12 on 12 Battle. But who should be with you? I'm thinking Silver makes sense, but I wouldn't mind teaming with Lance.

I'd go with Silver, hands down.
Manga-wise, Green's (or Blue, whichever name you use) Pokemon have a higher level than Red's. Red's Pokemon's don't fall far from Green, just about three-five levels short.
And Silver's kinda like Green, where his Pokemon have a higher level compared to Gold.

Lance is a good choice, too. But Green's got his Golduck - one shot using Aurora Beam or Ice Beam (let not forget Machamp who can do a Tri Punch) will beat Lance's Dragon Pokemon faster than you can say "LOL WHUT" XD
