The fluidity of the video is because most of us don't have a good enough internet to load a 3084x2048 video and probably gelbooru's servers the best is to download it instead

I have high speed internet and am watching on a laptop (1280 x 720) and it's still kind of slow, not unwatchable just a lot of buffering. I think it might be watching videos that have a higher resolution than the screen your using.
