Wait, I thought Lord Genome was brainwashed at the time by the anti-spiral, then went crazy and killed the other Spiral Warriors. At least that would make sense... I think.

Lordgenome is shown the truth about how Spiral Nemesis will come to be. Then he fall to despair and madness.
Betraying and killing all of his comrades, most of humanity, then forced the survivors into underground.
He only started awakening after his head is turned into biocomputer, and snapped out of it in the final battle when he got temporary body.
The same thing also happen to Simon, but this time Lordgenome is in there to remind him of Nia.
