I've never seen a Snake fail there mission, ever. Not Naked, Solid, Liquid, etc. Solidus even accomplished his during and after his death.

Voting myself in case that's a spoiler. But really, Snake eats Rathalos for breakfast...no really, that's not a metaphor.
