Samus Aran was not present in Metroid: Other M. Samus Aran is 6 foot tall, 200 pounds WITHOUT her suit. She kills the most fearsome creatures in the galaxy on a regular basis. She is the ultimate warrior.
And the woman playing her in Metroid: Other M is a flimsy blonde waif who probably screwed the director to get her part.
When I played Other M, I just thought of it as a movie based on Samus' adventures, because that was the only way I could resist snapping my wii-mote in half.
