I know that ghosts can enter other people's worlds as black phantoms... but do they get stronger or something? is that why people would have trouble defeating them?

They're "stronger" because people who pvp strictly build their character around pvp. Which is why my friend(s) and I treat them like shit. Hide and jump them.

This is pic is a pretty epic scene. But what i dont get is the soldier is in human so he can be invaded but it looks like he's in soul form cuz of all the smokey wisp around him. Or he might of encountered this one as a normal npc black phantom.
But this black phantom reminds of the meat cleaver BP in world 5-2.
