Goku would use fighting types primarily, and I feel like he would use the Chimchar line as his ace, since it's a fighting monkey. And one modeled after Sun Wukong, after whom Goku is also modeled. Heck, the Japanese name for Sun Wukong is literally Son Goku.

But, what other pokemon would he use. Mankey/Primeape would probably be a good fit, because again, fighting monkey. But Goku isn't an idiot when it comes to fighting, so he'd at least have ones with secondary types and have covering moves, probably having them all with a tera type other than fighting...
