this image is more like she's healing herself from a lost eye (a very elaborate way)...

Kinda agree with anon2. There does appear to be a little blood on the bottom lid but looks more like shes doing intricate repair work (wonder whats the story behind it O_o) then merely mutilating her self for show. Doesn't come off as guro.
