Anon1, they can have either you know? "Usually" and what a person arms their troops with are two different things. Cadian sergeants usually have Laspistols. That didn't stop me from upgrading mine to Bolt Pistols for 2 points each.

From what I gather this is actually a Rogue Trader character. I'm working on a custom hybrid Rogue Trader/Dark Heresy rpg with my friends and ours will be much darker than this, but the art is certainly there. Nice coloring job on this piece.

@anon7 yes because all commissars are know for shooting there own men in the back of the heads when theres say a choas space marine or a carnifex three feet from there face as they feel that the guardsmen with there lasguns will be more effective at killing the thing than with his own plasmea pistol.... commissars are not like in dawn of war where they shoot there men to inspire them there closer to russian commissars of which there based where they shoot soldiers and officers for showing cowardice, refusing a order or wanting to retriet without just cause. learn your true 40k and dont just go off of dawn of war as a lot of its fluff isnt canon
