Is this what it's really called? Ultima Weapon?..hmm the translated version was 'Atma' I thought. Was that a translation error or am I thinking of the wrong creature? Cool artwork nonetheless.

You could say it's an error. Atma is "Engrish" for Ultima.

It was meant to be Ultima. Written in Katakana it's pronounced Arutema. Ted Woosley translated that to Atma for the SNES release in the US.

Why are you guys voting down jmerz? His statement is correct. Ted Woosley did an excellent job on the translation of FF6 given the size limitation on the cartridge and the censorship of NoA.
