Because the one with braids is the original Saya(not Diva) from Blood The Last Vampire(2000). The one with short hair and red eyes is Saya from the later created Blood+(2005) television anime, inspired by the former movie.
(Personally, the movie was more interesting and I almost wish they had built off that for a television series instead of recreate it for something newer. But eh, I digress. Blood+ has it's own unique charm at times, if a bit slow.)
