He's got armor, which already puts him ahead of the rest of the team. He's got a zillion weapons somehow hidden somewhere on his body. He's got a gun that manipulates gravity. He's Gordon Freeman. Regular Zombies have nothing on the Combine. Plus, he's probably immune, if he's there. The G-Man probably did something to make him immune.
