chidori/raikiri isn't a rasengan, in fact Kakashi said explicitly "if I could've added lightning to the rasengan I wouldn't have had to develop chidori"

It could be some kindof chidori-rasengan combo jutsu he did with Sasuke before he was injured though, in which case its probably a water rasengan :p
