Recently I took at cyber law and ethical issues class at my collage. I learned that even if an image or other work is not registered with the appropriate agency it is still protected under American copyright law. And further protected under international treaty for 70 years after the death of the creator. So technically all the "hentai" on the sight, and even in existences, is displayed illegally unless permission is given.

Hey..not every piece of artwork has to be drawn by a Japanese artist to be good. Dmitrys is not Japanese but he does splendid artwork and I don't see anyone deleting his stuff. Somehow I feel this site is becoming racist as hell. Getting sick of great pics getting deleted because its not "Japanese culture related" or its "non-anime". Horseshit.

Web sights may be getting racist, but we need to keep in mind that gelboru shares databases with danboru. The moderators here are not the only ones deleating content...
