Aside from the fourth wall-breaking jokes of Team Rocket, Professor Philena Ivy (or "Dr. Uchikido" in the original Japanese) was effectively the best thing about the classic Pokemon anime.
The fact that she's actually a competent researcher [who likely experimented on Brock] is a bonus. :3
