Canonically, this is the first entry of this story. Here, Monika Tatsumi and her best friend Aya Nishimura were summoned to a different world, but instead of becoming heroes with OP powers, they were captured and turned into slaves.
Monika was sold to a dwarf owner of a gladiatorial school, and Aya was sold as a domestic/sex slave to a rich nobleman.
Before being sold, Monika promised Aya that she will find a way to regain their freedom and find a way back home. Will she be able to keep her promise and find Aya? Is there really a way back home?

Let me put it this way, there will be no going back home for the two young women as they are already home. Slavery suits both girls well.

I think it's nothing unusual if only a few or individual people who are called into a foreign world really become heroes, fate has other plans for most of them. Like for Monika and Aya.
