Staff and hat design belong to Aaron alone. Riley's hat doesn't have that design pattern + its blue and he has no use for the clothing or staff, he's capable of using aura without the gloves, which it was never discovered if Aaron could do so without his. This is sir Aaron, accept it and move on.

This is Sir Arlon (Aaron) people :I watch the movie.

Riley looks like him because it's his (rumored) reincarnation: Besides the obvious physical appearance both are aura users, both train Lucarios and both wears the same amulet (Riley as necklace and Arlon on his gloves).

Another curious thing, is that they share the same pose on their concept art, it's like they traced each other and changed the clothes.
