yeah, i dont really understand the importance of the number 3 here. for instance - old snake is in mgs 4. mario is in all of his own games, as is master chief....
anyway pretty cool pic regardless of how little sense its making to me right now.

I am going to take the most wild and crazy guess here, and say the reason all of them are holding up the number three, is because the artist goes by "3". But I don't know, it seems less plausible than other attempts at explaining.
