Which makes me wonder if it should be classified as a Desert Eagle rifle, or a Barret pistol.

^ Hey anon, Barrett isn't what you call every .50 calibre weapon. Barrett is the company the made the M82 rifle, aka the Barrett 50cal (which could also refer to the M95). Israeli Military Industries were the original designers of the Desert Eagle. And just giving a pistol a longer barrel won't make it a rifle.

The Desert Eagle is truly the pistol of the holy land.
