They're nice aesthetically, but terrible in practice. For that aesthetic, tape works a lot better. Or, alternatively, use an OTN gag OVER a tape or stuff gag, or over both.

Pretty sure the girl on the right is Momoko Koigakubo but the other two are not from the same anime.
