This is wrong,The one from Silent hill zero is not the Alessa gillespie...
since The real alessa is burned,and the one taht stalk Travis is not...
No doubt,it was Dark Allessa A.K.A the reaper girl from SH the movie
She is only pretend to be the Real Alessa (Read silent hill wiki,she can use shapeshifter)

I haven't played Zero but if you knew anything about Alessa you wouldn't say she wasn't the real one. Alessa was the manifestation of god. This was why she was needed when The House of Hope wanted to give birth to their vision of what the god was.
You see it in the real ending of the original Silent Hil game when Kauffman throws the drug on Alessa. The demon she becomes could be said to be her real self (although this is also just Harry's fears.)
Remember that Alessa died, but so did Cheryl? and a third part was split (Heather) Who knows how much "Alessa" can split and in what ways.
As for the movie? That movie is NOT kanon, rather you should view it just as the movie directors own silly imagination. (he even said as much) (lol reaper girl) Also, that movie sucked.

I haven't played Zero but if you knew anything about Alessa you wouldn't say she wasn't the real one. Alessa was the manifestation of god. This was why she was needed when The House of Hope wanted to give birth to their vision of what the god was.
You see it in the real ending of the original Silent Hil game when Kauffman throws the drug on Alessa. The demon she becomes could be said to be her real self (although this is also just Harry's fears.)

Alessa is a manifestation of god,or also can be called a child that born with supernatural and psychokinesis power that she was labelled by people as a "witch"
what the wish house (A.K.A the order) done is to summon their god to bring paradise by using alessa's power as the god's vessel
I when you said about when drug,I think thats when Kauffmann trow the drug (A.K.A aglaophotist) to alessa,as she was inside the incubator form because of Dahlia's rituals
kauffmann use the aglaophotist to separate the god,or rather been called "Incubus" from alessa body.
after it defeated,alessa in her last breath will give Harry a baby,that baby is Heather,the reincarnation of alessa
however,In order to fully understand the proces at chronologically,you need to watch Silent hill the movie,then played silent hill origin,and finally played Silent hill 1
So you understand that alessa's soul separated to three part,which is :
Good side of Alessa,Chery (or sharon in the movie)
and Evil side of alessa,the Dark alessa
The movie maybe suck and fail as silent hill adaptation,but you still need to watch it in order to understand silent hill at the fullest
And don't underestimate Dark alessa...
she maybe look harmless,but she is the one who create the Otherworld and the monster inside it with Alessa,Including THE PYRAMID HEAD
(btw,Pyramid head is james manifestation of guilt,but even if thats true,he still created by Dark alessa's will)
