The character who floats on the right side is very clearly a boy. His haircut makes it obvious, and also the fact that he has a much thicker neck than the girl. He is wearing a kimono which looks similar to the girl's dress but it's not. The girl is wearing a skirt which goes up to the knee, whereas the boy's hakama reaches his ankles. You can also clearly see the difference between the girl's black jacket and the boy's black haori(the top of the kimono). The girl is wearing long socks and modern athletic shoes. The boy is wearing tabi socks that fit nicely with the sandals.
