It's a scenario we all wished we would have scene, Damn Griffith. Trying to be a darn god, but he's just as vurnerable like the rest of us. Only thing keeping him around is his supernatural powers.

The manga is actually leading us to a sad ending, if you think about it. Kinda hard to see Guts with a normal life after all he's been through; Same for Caska. But i hope for a happy ending.

a sad ending? naw, they wouldnt do that. i could see a bittersweet endings though. the point though of the series is that nothing can kill guts. it always has been, that somehow entire armies and demons and magic beings and ect cannot somehow beat this guy who is just really good at swinging his huge ass sword. if anything, we're just waiting for casca to be returned to her normal self, then she'll have magic or some mystical weapons/armor.

It's impossible to have a normal life after all that, which brings the fact that Guts might turn into a monster, or die.
