Cuz Fang-Hope-Lightning is probably the most used party setup, best commando, best ravager and best healer(Not to mention Hope also has the highest Magic).

Well, if I wanted to be technical about this, I'd replace Lightning with Sazh since that'd be about the most veratile party setup. Two powerhouses and a character who's skills can variate wildly is unbelievably useful. He's tank, and a chainer well above Lightning...

nah i use fang lighting and vanille as my mains, cus vanille is the best ravager and her and fang are great saboturs to boot. and is just solid all over.

Hope, Sazh, and Lightning are better Ravagers than Vanille. Point of a ravager is to boost the chain gauge, with Chip damage being more of a perk than a focus. Lightning and Sazh boost the gauge faster, and can potentially auto-stagger.

In terms of flat out damage, Hope deals more damage with the highest base Magic stat in the game while also bolstering more options as a Ravager. Plus he casts a little faster.

Can't believe I just typed all that, I didn't even like the game all that much. :I
