"Emasculated" I watched Soul Eater, didn't feel a thing I watched character development, story, and the fights where epic. They also had a fair amout of fan service, as for getting emasculated if seeing an attractive woman beat the hell out of a group of idiots makes you feel like less of a man then you really weren't much of one to begin with. Hell my girlfriend is almost a black belt I feel way better knowing she can take care of herself. Any way, what you only feel good if the supporting female characters are about to be raped and then the male main character swoops in and knocks the guy out with one finger if you ask me that pretty much means you are not a man.

a tomboy girl as the main lead of a battle shonen manga, thats all i ask for. ya could say something like soul eater, but with a system similar to bleach. thats all i ask for. as for the guy that mentions the rape thing.... you only see that in hentai manga. we're talking about a shonen manga

Apparently, People have never seen Lina Inverse. The anime "Slayers" is SHOUNEN. All of the antagonists are male, Hell at the end of the first season the main antagonist fused with a Demon-Beast thousands of years old and was strong enough to lift his hand and create crators. Shoot magical beams on par with nukes, Killed an entire kingdom of people with a spell considered-weak compared to what he did. All to prove he could kill Lina and surpass the original version of himself. Which was killed BY Lina and she didn't even fight the "Original" she fought the Demon King which took over his body and is millions of years old possibly and considered the primal-evil of her universe. That and the fact that Lina is tomboy-ish but also sometimes feminine even though the male casts pukes at her "feminine-side" and she's laughed at for being "flat-chest" even though her breasts at nearly as flat as they exaggerate. But adored for being the main-character, There's your ideal female Protagonist right there and with all that she is still has the weaknesses of a normal human girl despite universe-destroying magical powers which can also kill her. And the series was created by a male with two or three different female illustrators over the years.
