Wow. I didn't even know people remembered this game. I felt like the odd one out for loving the game that made sense and kicked ass over the mediocre one that just seemed get more attention.

I don't think those games are elegible to be comparable. Sure, CC is the sequel to CT, plotwise, however, those two games are very different.

First of all, the gameplay changes a lot, the graphics were completely overdone, the characters are completely new, the old characters only appears as a cameo without even knowing their names, the plot is more linear, and the way it is presented gives a total different feeleing.

I see CT and CC as two different games, and i don't really think they can be compared.

Chrono Cross suffers from the same "problem" as Xenosaga... that it's not exactly the same as, or a direct sequel to, its predecessor, so a good portion of nostalgia-goggle-wearing fans refuse to take it on its own merits and hate it blindly.
