I seriously wish we could pick a thumbnail for these webms. Black thumbnail doesn't help preview what people are gonna click on.

Is RWBY like super popular in Japan? I know I've seen the Japanese boxes for the DVD set over there and they look way better than the US releases in my opinion. This just seems so weird.
I know there were rumors that Arc was wanting to do something with RWBY. I didn't take them serious, but I was hoping for a full on fighting game no a cameo in a cross over fighter.

Is RWBY like super popular in Japan? I know I've seen the Japanese boxes for the DVD set over there and they look way better than the US releases in my opinion. This just seems so weird.

This isn't even all that unexpected, as Mori (Blazblue's director) had expressed interest in the property during an interview some time ago, and more recently the trio that composes RWBY's primary creative direction team actually took a trip to Japan, with ArcSys HQ being one place they were known to have visited.

GG is actually not much easier at all. This is probably going to include a bunch of reused assets, particularly from 3 of the 4 games involved. Most likely, every character is reused. RWBY is the only new thing announced to be in this game at all, and GG is only easier in that ArcSys already owns the license.
So, ArcSys had to choose whether to reanimate the thing they already had, or add something both new and popular to attract more people. Though announcing Sol and P5's Joker would probably go over extremely well.

They should of just waited till they had a Persona 5 arena since Persona 5 exploded in popularity in the west to become the most popular Persona game ever. Even a GGXBB would have been better, but have it be made in the GG engine. Still, I'll probably pick this up when it comes to the west.
