It was already confirmed that King Ghidorah was going to be in this next movie, so this is nothing new. Mothra and Rodan are confirmed, as well.

I think this is confirmation that King Ghidorah is located in the Antarctic where Monarch found his icy prison. The main question is how huge and what he'll look like in the upcoming film.

The director for the next movie confirmed King Ghidorah is the real reason for the arms race. I'm gonna say alien because there is only so many times you can repeat the ancient animal path before the audience starts to think and say all these movies are the same.
