Guys, she wasnt just any woman. Kycilia was a humongously powerful autocrat-cum-dictator who actually had a relationship with char (she knew his real name was,casval). In the end, she helped him, but was still an enemy by name, by being a Zabi. Having just killed ghiren who subsequently killed degwin prior, she evened out the 'evil' members of Zeon's dictatorship, but char needed to kill her too, he thought, to rebirth zeon, or rather, humanity, in that they were no longer entangled in the evil tendencies of zabi bloodlines, which may have corrupted kycilia had she lived.

In short, she definitely deserved to die the least of all of the zabis, and she became the most interesting and vengeful by the end, but well, char isn't a beautiful noble person either, he killed matilda's husband ruthlessly and indiscriminately too you know
