As far as ways to die, this one isn't THAT bad. (Compared to drinking drano or getting hit by a bus.) You're supposed to slit the wrist parallel with the arm, not perpendicular, though, right between the tendons of the inner arm. That will get in deep and get all the veins. Since blood loss will cause you to get cold, sitting in a hot bath will provide comfort. The heat from the bath also increases circulation, causing the blood to come out a bit faster. For the really skittish, you can buy a lot of anbisol or other topical numbing agent and soak your hand/wrist in it for several hours to get it nice and numb before you cut. Only problem is once you do this, there's really no turning back. Suicide is a permanant solution to (usually) temporary problems, and suicide like this is usually done by people trying to make a statement or who are reluctant to do so.
