You call him weak but it has already been proven that Gohan was more powerful than Goku ever was at the age of eleven. If you don't know what I am talking about, this is when he turned Super Saiyan 2. In order to keep your beloved Goku the strongest though, they toned Gohan down by making him settle down.
Long story short, I don't see Gohan dying from a heart disease.

Goku & Vegeta train because its ingrained into their brain Saiyans exist to fight thats it. Gohan however was born a gentle boy, he was worried about hurting the planet during his fight with cell and he just doesnt have the same drive to kill as a saiyan would.
he doesnt train because its not important to him... why are you on the internet and not outside punching trees? cuz it seems irrelevant to you.

The simple fact is this. In a world where cyborgs, aliens, magic bubble-gum genies and cell fiends exist, there is no practical or logical reason NOT to train. These things will come to kill you and your family, being a family man doesn't give him an excuse to do nothing; it should be motivating him to remain strong to protect those important to him. Did he learn nothing with his father died fighting Cell, he had the strength to stop him when his father didn't; with Goku dead instead of bracing himself for future trouble he stopped training. Being a scholar isn't going to stop the end of the world, it's not going to protect you or anyone else from danger.
Him being gentle doesn't matter, him not wanting to hurt others either. Sometimes you need to fight to save lives, letting yourself fall to a state where you can't protect yourself, your loved ones, or your children is a shame. Though strong by most standards, he's far weaker than he could be. He's past strength doesn't act as a bulwark for present issues. GOHAN IS WEAK.
