We use the original Japanese names as tags on Gelbooru. Her name is Gally and the series is called Gunnm. See those tags for more.

So she was renamed Alita in the English translation I guess right? I don't think Alita is unique to the movie. Am I correct on that?

I hate the old days when they would rename characters in localizations, was such a dumb thing to do.
