It was explained as Tidus's TRUE enemy was his father, not Seymour. If Seymour was the villain representing Chaos for FFX, they'd need Yuna involved for it to make sense.

Not to mention 1. Jecht is badass and 2. There's way too many spellcasters on the Chaos side.

Looking at this picture, it would've been cool to have Sephiroth and Jecht wearing each others getups as alt. costumes, instead of a stupid Shirtless outfit and recolor.
