Okay Im asking cause I genuinely want to know (and because I know there's lots of NaruSaku fans in this site): What exactly do people see in this pairing? I just...don't get it. I mean, ok, they have much better relationship now...but did it take for it to become this way?

Ever since they were young, Sakura stopped at nothing to talk down Naruto, insult him, beat him up for everything he did (even though unlike Sasuke, he actually kept risking his life to to protect/save her everytime) and remind him of how inferior he was to her dear Sasuke in every possible way.

And then, it wasn't until AFTER Sasuke left her (and the village) that she was basically "forced" to resort to Naruto for consolation, and thus they began growing closer. But, do people seriously think that if Sasuke had never left, then things would've ever become like this between Naruto and Sakura? I seriously don't think so. As I see it, he's her "consolation prize" because if Sasuke had never left, she would never get to see him as more than their "kinda annoying friend/teammate".

Please keep in mind that is no my intention to bash this picture. I just want NaruSaku fans to realistically explain to me how they see this pairing as "fair" or "appropiate". At this point, Im genuinely intriged about it.

I see what you're saying Anon. But you have to admit that both of them have grown up a lot since the original series. And the thing about growing up is you start to wake up from those silly little crushes. Sasuke is like those asshat Twilight characters all the tweens are gaga over. Sakura had about as much of a chance with Sasuke as any 13 year old has with the Twilight dudes.

Now that's she's older, I doubt Sakura has completely forgotten her crush on ol' bird hair, or ever will. But she's grown up, seen the reality of the situation, and could be realizing how much she did like Naruto. Plus, she was a kid when she was mean to Naruto. Most kids with crushes are mean to the boys/girls they like :P

not to really dispute everyone here .. but i think that this is a spoiler picture that only people that read the manga will understand (tho the anime is basically there too)

Its not Naruto and Sakura (tho Naruto is depicted in this picture but as the baby) because while they do look similar its actually a picture of Minato (4th hokage) and his wife Kushina Uzumaki, who greatly resembles Sakura (i cant imagine why tho :P ????)

#2: Sasuke may LIKE girls with long hair, but he has no tolerance for the weak and the incompetent. Sakura possesses both of these traits.

#3: Sasuke wants no one to slow him down. Sakura would stall him.

#4: Sasuke will probably end up killing Sakura in the final battle. If this happens, it's proof that he's... well... not her type =D
